Those We
Serve

The Robert L. Miller Sr. Veteran's Center (MVC) is a separate building on the CFH campus and is home to 24 male homeless Veterans. Veterans live and work together as a unit, and are responsible to themselves and their community. Veterans are assigned a case manager, and together they work closely with a liaison from the VA to create a housing and service plan. To date, MVC has placed 75% of our Veterans into permanent housing.

Success for Veterans

In addition to connecting to permanent housing options, our team works with Veterans to provide opportunities for an array of supportive services to improve their self-sufficiency, all based on the needs of each Veteran. Examples include:

  • Workforce development and job training

  • Budgeting and Financial Literacy

  • Tenant Education

  • Mental Health and Substance Abuse Treatment

  • Primary and Dental Care

  • Service Connected, Non-Service Connected, and Social Security Disability applications

  • Military Discharge Upgrades

  • Coping Skills/Mindfulness Training
